  Every week in Russia for more than one thousand people are infected HIV infection . According to the Federal Research and Methodological Center for Prevention and Control of AIDS, the total number of infected dangerous infection will be about 600 thousand people. This was announced by head of department Academician Vadim Pokrovsky.

On the eve of the World Day of Remembrance for Victims AIDS Which is held every year in the third Sunday of May, Academician Pokrovsky divided disappointing facts about the incidence of HIV infection in the country. Every day, the Russian AIDS infected more than 160 people. In summing up in 2010 it was established 58, 6000 cases of infection with the dangerous infection. According to forecasts of the Intercession, this year the incidence reaches 600 thousand people living with HIV. According to the Ministry of Public Health will receive specific treatment 100 thousand AIDS patients Russians.

According to World Health Organization, on our planet is home to more than 42 million infected with AIDS virus. Number of patients with immunodeficiency virus grows, increasing by more than 14 thousand daily. WHO experts estimate that every second from one person dies of AIDS. Exposed to infection, mostly people who have not attained the age of 30. The number of women infected with immunodeficiency also constantly growing and at the moment is already 48% of HIV patients.
