 Interns will be no more
One of the bills in the field of medicine offers completely abandon internships   in order to protect the health of citizens. The bill had already been signed in the second reading on October 21.

As explained in SEDESOL, doctors who receive sophisticated specialty, just go to the residency and local therapist, for example, after graduation, will start working immediately. Thus, the new standards make it easier to obtain medical education.

Also according to the new law, to carry out medical practice can only persons with secondary or higher medical education and professional certification. Pharmaceutical and medical education will follow the five new programs.

Approval of the new law, according to experts, is due primarily to the fact that young professionals fresh out of medical school, did not have enough practical experience, and they had to go to the internship. The new system should enable the immediate start of work. Also, experts point out that such a system is more like a western. On the other hand a new formation can significantly impair their quality, since it is not clear how the students will receive practical knowledge.
