The medicament reduces intraocular pressure 4 hours after application. The effect lasts for hours. Xalatan is produced in the form of eye drops in a special vial.

Indications and contraindications:

Xalatan is prescribed for elevated intraocular pressure. The drug is effective in the form of open-angle glaucoma. Xalatan is contraindicated in case of intolerance to latanoprost, breastfeeding, pregnancy. Latanoprost is not applied in pediatric patients.

Side effects and overdose:

Conjunctival hyperemia, foreign body sensation in the eye, epithelial asymptomatic, transient, point erosion . In individuals with psevdoafakiey, aphakia with the lens in the anterior chamber of the eye is recorded macular edema . Possible pigmentation of the iris, stable heterochromia , Reversible increase of the optic fissure, an allergy. If overdose is marked episclera hyperemia, conjunctival irritation of the eyes. Mode of application:

Xalatan instill one drop into the conjunctival sac of the affected eye. The desired time of application - in the evening. In combination therapy interval between applications should be no less than five minutes.

Special instructions:
