Pronoran increases cortical electrical activity (during sleep, during waking hours), stimulating cerebral metabolic processes   (increases cerebral blood flow increases the oxygen consumption, improve saturation brain tissue oxygen). The drug acts on some of the functions are controlled by dopamine. Pronoran available in tablet dosage form with controlled release.

Indications:

neurosensory deficit   and cognitive functions during aging as a symptomatic therapy. The drug is prescribed in combination with levodopa in patients with severe tremor. The drug is used in ischemic manifestations on the background of ophthalmic diseases, intermittent claudication   against the backdrop of obliterating diseases of arteries.

Contraindications:

Pronoran does not apply to hypotension , Piribedil intolerance, during pregnancy, acute myocardial infarction, breast-feeding.

Side effects, overdose:

Admission piribedil may be accompanied by agitation, anxiety, bloating, vomiting, nausea, orthostatic hypotension . If overdose is registered vomiting . Posindromnoy therapy requires timely gastric lavage.

Mode of application:

Pronoran taking 50 mg daily by mouth in one reception after a meal. If necessary, the dose piribedil increased to 100 mg (2 reception 50mg). Monotherapy with Parkinson's disease: 150-250 mg per day for 3-5 doses. Combination therapy of Parkinson's disease levodopa : 100-150 mg 2-3 reception.

Special instructions:

Persons suffering from hypertension, requires additional therapy to prevent hypertensive crises .

Drug Interactions:

Efficiency prepraata Pronoran reduce metoclopramide, thioxanthene, butyrophenone, phenothiazine and other dopamine antagonists .
