Gamma-aminobutyric acid improves memory, increases mental performance, accelerates recovery of speech, movement after suffering a cerebrovascular accident. Aminalon has weakly expressed hypotensive effect, reduces heart rate, relieves insomnia and dizziness. The drug has anti-convulsive, anti-hypoxic action. Patients with diabetes   Aminalon lowers blood glucose. In healthy people, by glycogenolysis   increased rate of glucose. Available in tablet form.

Indications and contraindications:

Aminalon shown after stroke , Traumatic brain injury. The drug is prescribed for vascular encephalopathy , Cerebrovascular disease, alcoholic polyneuropathy , Alcoholic encephalopathy, mental retardation, cerebral palsy. The drug eliminates the symptom by air and seasickness . Aminalon not prescribe intolerance gamma aminomasyalnoy acid.

Side effect:

In the initial phase of therapy may occur dyspepsia , Pyrexia, nausea, insomnia, unstable blood pressure, vomiting.

Mode of application:

Aminalon take before meals inside. The daily dosage for adults is 3-3, 75 grams, administered to children up to 3 grams per day. The daily dose is recommended to be divided into three stages. The course of treatment lasts from 2 weeks to 4 months. To prevent motion sickness syndrome children appoint 0, 25 grams of gamma-aminobutyric acid three times a day, a course of 3-4 days, double the dose for adults.

Special instructions:

The first days of treatment may be accompanied by a labile blood pressure, sensation of heat in the chest. On the 3rd day of treatment the symptoms subside. Aminalon recommended to keep away from children, light, moisture.
